For a variety of reasons, I have not been writing too many new posts for the past few months. Most of my time has been split up three ways: (1) Working on what I hope to be a REAL New Testament Introduction book, geared for people who AREN’T scholars and just want to get a better understanding of what they’re reading; (2) Grading the work for what is now my three online classes (thank you, Corona Virus!); and (3) Being a full-time 24/7 single parent/homeschool teacher to a third grader who is (again, thank you, Corona Virus!) at home, full-time, 24/7 for the next four months.
In any case, as I was doing some cleaning around the house, I realized that I still had a number of copies of my book The Heresy of Ham in a box in my closet. Since I am not going to throw them out, but also since I really have no intention of re-reading my book 18 times from a different book each time, I thought I just through this short post out there to see if anyone would be interested in buying a reduced price copy of it…and yes, I’ll even sign it!
The Amazon price is $20, so I figured I’ll offer them at $12 ($2.00 would cover the cost to mail it). And so, if you think you might like a book that (A) tackles the creation/evolution debate, (B) gives a brief tutorial on how to interpret the Bible in general and how Genesis 1-11 should be understood in particular, (C) points out the troubling flaws in Young Earth Creationsim, (D) argues that whether or not you believe evolution, it is not a fundamental tenet of the Christian faith, and (E) shows how evolutionary theory can actually help us understand the Christian faith better–well then, send me an email at joelando11@yahoo.com and let me know you’d like a copy of the book. I’ll give you my address so you can send me a check, and you’ll have your signed copy in no time!
UPDATE (As of 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 29th): I have EIGHT books left.
